PrintCity appoints new director of Fairs and Events

Gröbenzell, Germany, 19 January, 2010. Ilka Grabener is joining the PrintCity Alliance as its new director of Fairs and Events from January 2010.

Ilka Grabener is qualified with both a Diploma in Economics (Diplom Oekonom) and Master of Organisational Psychology, plus she has significant experience in the printing & packaging industry.

Ilka previously worked for M-real Graphic Papers as marketing director, responsible for West and South Europe. In that function she organised and operated various fairs, events and workshops within the graphics industry. Additionally Ilka gained significant experience in environmental and sustainability issues, when implementing the environmental strategy of the Metsäliitto Group.

After 11 years in the paper industry including education in Finnish paper mills, she is now happy to connect her competence with other companies in the graphic industry through the PrintCity Alliance.

Rainer Kuhn, PrintCity managing director welcomed Ilka by saying, ‘With her broad range of experience she will very much strengthen our team and help to develop our fair and seminar approach and the whole Alliance. Exhibitions and events are central to all our alliance activities, bringing the shared knowledge of our members to printing, packaging & publishing industry specialists worldwide.’
